How Pioneer Rigging Services began
Pioneer Rigging Services is a locally owned, Mackay-based steel erection company.
It all started in 2006 when husband and wife duo, Andrew and Linda Palmer, made their big move to Mackay to be near family and to raise their children in a regional, tropical countryside. It was then that they saw the need for a local company to provide the same premium service and expertise in a regional area, that could be found in the big cities.
With Andy’s years of experience as a boilermaker and rigging supervisor in Sydney, and his roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, it was the perfect fit for their family. Throw in Linda’s uncanny ability to organise life into a spreadsheet and keep the business going with meticulous perfection, and Pioneer Rigging Services was born. Just like their close-knit family, Andy and Linda have fostered the same principles and values in their business.
